The Corner restaurant, and gelato from Gelateria la Carraia
Just steps from Santa Trinita on Via del Pariona is The Corner restaurant, a great place for a quick lunch if your in the area.
Describing themselves as "Mediterranean" the menu will suit all tastes, but has a great focus on seafood. For a super speedy lunch it definitely hit the spot, plus fresh fish is always a treat in Florence!
It was a fairly busy lunch for them, but food arrived quickly and piping hot - the orecchiette pasta with tomato and ricotta was delicious, and the sea bream with tomatoes, olives and capers was fresh and really moist.
And for dessert I would recommend popping over the river to Gelateria la Carraia on Piazza Nazario Sauro, my favourite place for gelato in Florence. And the flavour? always the same for me, the Delizia Carraia is an ultimate favourite of mine; white chocolate and swirls of pistachio, its definitely my idea of heaven. Enjoy!
